Plenary Program

Wednesday, September 6, and Friday, September 8

National and international speakers from educational science, authorities, and practice will present different perspectives to the conference theme in key note speeches:

Education 5.0? The Future of Learning – The Future of Schools

What do we expect from our education system, and what will learning in the school of the future look like? If Education 4.0 can be understood as learning and education processes in an age of digital change, what is needed in education? And what comes next, what might Education 5.0 be like? Is it time to consider a change of focus in education towards a stronger emphasis on personality development, basic values, empowerment, democracy and collective responsibility? Are responsibility, participation in democracy and environmental stewardship elements that need to be increasingly emphasized as primary concerns in pedagogical thinking? How can we successfully promote education? What responsibilities do educators have, and what responsibilities rest with the broader society?

The goal of this Symposium is to contribute to the development of quality education that reflects our current needs. This, in turn, supports the development of a sustainable society. The Symposium provides examples of ways that different stakeholders in education can improve their work and help bring education into the future.
