Main Conference

The Symposium focuses on the challenges and opportunities for schools and school leadership. In the keynote speeches, workshops, and presentations, current challenges and opportunities in the fields of school effectiveness, school improvement, and school management will be discussed. The core idea is to share ideas, knowledge, and experiences.

The Symposium consists of the Plenary Program and the Parallel Program.

Plenary Program

Wednesday, September 2, and Friday, September 4

National and international speakers from educational science, authorities, and practice will present different perspectives to the conference theme in key note speeches.

The conference languages are German and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided for the keynote speeches.

Open Space

Thursday, September 3

There will be an open space on the theme of equity and equality in education. The open space will be conducted in English and German and is open to all who wish to collaborate together. No special requirements are necessary.

Parallel Program

Within the Parallel Program there is the opportunity to deepen one thematic strand over four 90-minute sessions (workshops and presentations) or to switch between different thematic strands. Thematic strands of the Parallel Program are:
